Painajaispuoti (Little Shop of Nightmares) is a humorous children’s chapter book series, written by Magdalena Hai and illustrated by Teemu Juhani.
The series follows Ninni, a young girl who gets a job as a shop assistant in the Little Shop of Nightmares. Ninni quickly befriends the shop ghost Pertsa and the shopkeeper Kumma-Ukko and his pet octopus Löllis. Together they explore the shop and its weird wonders and also the wider city of Kammola.
The original Finnish editions are published by WSOY.
The series has been published in 30 different languages. The foreign rights are sold by Ahlback Agency.
